Welcome to April!
The weather is finally warming up, birds are chirping, and it’s time to introduce April’s Sangria of the Month! This month’s selection is…drum roll, please…Sparkling Grapefruit Sangria!!!
This recipe (and the gorgeous photo!) comes courtesy of Erin at The Speckled Palate. Btw, if you’re not following her, you’re missing out big. This week she made Carrot Cake Dip with Cinnamon-Sugar Wontons!
But back to the Sangria…
Yeah, we know grapefruit is really a winter fruit, but then we noticed our friends always seem to have grapefruit in the kitchen in the spring because that’s when we’re all extra focused on eating healthy to prep for summer. And this Sangria is so light it feels more like a healthy fruit juice than a boozy indulgence. So, as far as we’re concerned, this is the perfect spring Sangria!
You’ll just need:
- pink grapefruits
- oranges
- lemons
- dry white wine (like sauvignon blanc)
- simple syrup
- sparkling lemonade
Please head straight to The Speckled Palate for the full recipe. And make sure you subscribe to Erin’s recipes while you’re there. You’ll be so glad you did 🙂
